Platform

Run a mesh fleet without running the plumbing

Maple Wireless Cloud is a platform-as-a-service for mesh networking protocols. It handles device management, firmware distribution, message routing and the administration around them, so you can look after a network of repeaters instead of a pile of individual radios.

What the platform does

  • Device and fleet management

Every repeater you run, in one place: what it is, where it is, what firmware it carries and when it was last heard from.

    • Per-device identity and keys
    • Grouping by site or customer
    • Last-seen and health
  • Firmware distribution

Applications, releases and artefacts are versioned and published from one place, so a fleet update is a decision rather than an afternoon.

    • Versioned releases
    • Artefact upload and signing
    • Staged rollout
  • Message routing and retention

Channel and contact conversations routed and retained, with encryption between the endpoints that matter and the keys where they belong.

    • Channel and direct messages
    • Retention you control
    • End-to-end encrypted
  • Administration that expects an operator

API keys, billing, access control and the security surface around them — the parts a platform needs before anybody will trust it with a network.

    • Scoped API keys
    • Subscription and billing
    • IP and country controls

Built for the protocol after this one

The platform speaks MeshCore today. It is deliberately not built around MeshCore: protocol handling is a layer rather than an assumption, so supporting the next mesh protocol is an addition instead of a rewrite.

That matters more than it sounds. Mesh networking is moving quickly, and a platform that is welded to one protocol is a platform with an expiry date on it.

  • Protocol as a layer, not as an assumption baked through the model
  • An HTTP API with the same surface the console uses
  • Documented, at docs.maplewirelesscloud.com
  • Your data exportable, because a platform you cannot leave is a trap
