We are starting where we think the need is clearest: mesh networking services built on the MeshCore (opens in a new tab) protocol. MeshCore is an open, long-range mesh protocol for LoRa radios — low power, licence-free spectrum, and a topology with no central point to knock out. If you have ever wanted a way to reach across a property, a worksite or a valley without a cell tower in the middle of it, that is the shape of the answer.
What we are offering from day one
Installation and deployment. We mount and commission MeshCore repeaters on commercial and residential property — on solar where there is no mains supply, on mains or PoE where there is. Sited, weatherproofed, tested against the paths it is meant to carry, and documented well enough that somebody else could maintain it.
Consultation. Site planning and coverage mapping, including surveys of repeaters you already run. Custom hardware and software when the problem needs it, at either end — embedded firmware or full-stack cloud software. And educational sessions, because a network nobody on your team understands is a network that quietly stops working.
Maple Wireless Cloud (opens in a new tab). Our platform-as-a-service for mesh networks: device and fleet management, firmware distribution, message routing and the administration around them. It speaks MeshCore today and is built so the next protocol is an addition rather than a rewrite.
Why mesh, and why us
A cellular network is a hub with spokes. Take out the hub — a storm, an outage, a fire — and every spoke goes dark at the moment you most need it. A mesh has no hub: every node relays for every other node, so a message finds whatever path is still standing, and adding nodes makes the network stronger instead of more congested.
We are a Canadian company, owned and operated here, and a subsidiary of Maple Open Tech Corp. (opens in a new tab) That means the firmware and the cloud platform come from the same place, and it means a network we deploy does not depend on one person staying interested in it.
