About

Canadian owned, Canadian operated, and it matters here

Maple Wireless is a Canadian company — owned and operated in Canada — and a subsidiary of Maple Open Tech Corp. We build long-range mesh networks for organisations that need communications which do not depend on somebody else's tower.

A subsidiary of Maple Open Tech Corp.

Maple Open Tech builds and operates a full technology stack in Canada — communications, operating systems, hosting, applications and cloud. Maple Wireless is the communications end of that: the radios, the mesh, and the platform that manages them.

Being part of a larger group is the reason we can offer embedded firmware and cloud software from the same company, and the reason a network we deploy does not depend on a single person remaining interested in it.

  • Owned and operated in Canada, not a reseller of somebody else’s kit
  • A subsidiary of Maple Open Tech Corp., sharing its engineering
  • Open protocols throughout — MeshCore is public and auditable
  • Source-available software, so your network is not a black box

How we work

  • Open protocols, no lock-in

We build on MeshCore, which is open and public. The network we deploy is yours, and it keeps running whether or not you stay with us.

  • The map before the invoice

Coverage is modelled before hardware is bought, and you keep the model. If it shows mesh is the wrong answer, we would rather say so early.

  • Documented to be handed over

Every deployment leaves with a written map of what is where and how it is powered — enough that somebody else could maintain it.
